Operate a variety of equipment utilized in the construction of Stream & Wetland Restoration
Projects. This position may require working out of town Monday – Friday.
Essential Functions
- Assist Project Management Team and Estimating Team on each project from Estimating to Project Completion
- Downloads and catalogs bid documents.
- Attends pre-bid meetings when needed.
- Solicits quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
- Demonstrates resourcefulness and creativity to gain the best pricing.
- Helping review and understanding bid scope
- Upon award actively contributes to project preparation
- Project file setup & turnover file setup
- Creating submittal packages from specifications
- Helps package proposal packages for submittal.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
- Ability to travel and work away from home if needed.
- Ability to understand construction specifications or project plans.
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
Physical Work Activities and Exposure
Operators must have good eyesight and better than average coordination to operate both hand and foot levers simultaneously. They must have good judgment to perform complicated tasks and must be able to work closely with other crafts without constant supervision. Skilled operators are constantly alert and observant of their surroundings.
- Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions including rain and extreme heat.
- Exposure to wet and humid condition daily
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and /or move up to 100lbs.
- Frequent sitting, talking, and hearing.
- Use of hands to operate tools or controls.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Walk distances over uneven terrain.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Project Management/Estimating
- Sufficient education to make appropriate arithmetic equations and complete written documentation; or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics.
- May require working out of town Monday – Friday
